Uncertainty looms
An orange gaseous
Horizon draws near
As if being nudged
In our direction
We remain bolted down
Firmly ensconsed
Fastened hard to our own
Misguided reality
Devoid of truth
Wanting in science
With an over abundance
Of useless prayers
and invocations
Soon we’ll be
Swallowed up
by our own misdoings
And that will be that
